Stroke can be caused by blockage in the arteries leading to the brain, which are at risk of disruption of blood flow. Or also due to rupture of blood vessels. Ischemic stroke or a blockage occurs in 80 percent of stroke cases. While hemorrhagic stroke or rupture of blood vessels in the brain is the cause of 20 percent of strokes.

Stroke can occur in anyone, especially those with risk factors. Early prevention is certainly a good way. Efforts can be done through a series of tests.

A stroke caused by blockage, constriction, or rupture of blood vessels resulting in impaired function (reduction of blood flow and oxygen) into the nerve center of this.

Stroke appear suddenly; in seconds or minutes so that it can happen to anyone, anytime. Stroke not only cause temporary symptoms, but can also cause permanent damage.

Prevent a stroke at an early stage by recognizing risk factors. Some risk factors, such as age above 50 years, obesity, cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure, and lack of exercise. If you have risk factors as described, in general, the doctor will advise on how to reduce risk factors for stroke.

Routine medical check-ups are useful to detect and treat high blood pressure, diabetes , high cholesterol, and heart disease. In Fact , implementing a healthy lifestyle, regular exercise, reducing stress, and quitting smoking will help prevent the occurrence of stroke

Meanwhile, tests such as Computerized Tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is some effort to see signs of a stroke on the brain. Often, the doctor will also ask for an angiogram, such as CT angiogram or MR-angiogram to study the blood vessels, and / or perfusion scan to assess patterns of blood flow.

Various blood tests will also be required to assess the overall risk of stroke. Sometimes, the drug should be given, such as anti-platelet or anticoagulant to prevent blood vessel blockage. And if there are blood vessel abnormalities that can cause bleeding in the brain, then surgery may be needed.

Everyone has some stroke risk. Although there are several factors that can not be controlled, regular medical examinations and early detection can help reduce the severity of the condition of stroke such as brain damage or even death

Risk of Stroke and Heart Attack Increases in the Morning

Written By share on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 | 8:48 AM

Wednesday, February 23, 2011

Blockage of blood vessels that trigger strokes and heart attacks can occur at any time, but early morning is the most vulnerable time. In the morning, the blood to the heart more susceptible to clotting and lead to blockage.
Increased risk of blockage is primarily experienced by patients with heart problems that put a stent or a tool to widen blood vessels. Although relatively rare, a blockage around the stent highly vulnerable to cause strokes and heart attacks. Because of the high risk of blood clots in the morning, then perhaps more appropriate treatment is given in the morning.
During this time, medication to prevent blood clotting in patients with ST is given in the evening, just before sleep. By considering these findings, the researchers suggest that doctors divide the drugs into 2 to give each one at night and early morning.
