Type 1 diabetes and its occurrence mostly in those people who are less than 20 years old and that is why, it is also called as juvenile onset diabetes. It mostly occurs in a very young age like 12 or 13 years. Production of insulin is totally stopped due to this form of diabetes and this is the reason it is termed as the most severe condition.
Insulin can be described as a hormone and its production is takes place in the pancreas. The use of the insulin is very important because it helps to body to utilize both blood sugar and glucose and without the presence of insulin; the body cells are not able to utilize either. As a result for the sake of energy, body burns off the fat. This leads to the production of ketones in the blood. High level of ketones can result in death.
