Scientists from Canada are conducting this research compares the 3101 breast cancer patients with 3471 women who had no tumor.
Each respondent was asked about sun exposure they receive during the month of April to October, at every stage of life, as a teenager, aged 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60-74 years of age.
The results, showed that women exposed to sunlight at least 21 hours per week in their teens, have a 29% lower risk of breast cancer.
Meanwhile the woman who spent much of his time in the sun in their 40s and 50s risk down 26% and for those aged over 60 years the risk is decreased even more, up to 50%.
